In this key role, you act as the bridge between business functions, external partners, and IT. You identify business needs, develop suitable solution approaches, and drive their implementation with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and business value.

As an Application Specialist, you are responsible for key enterprise applications and their continuous development throughout the entire application lifecycle. Whether it is modernizing existing systems, replacing legacy applications, or introducing new technologies, you play an active role in shaping and future-proofing our application landscape.

Your primary focus will be on the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira & Confluence) as well as Enterprise Content Management with Doxis. Specific product knowledge is not required from day one and can be built up on the job. What matters most is your solid technical foundation, a structured way of working, and a proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership and drive topics forward.

What you'll be handling:

  • Lead and manage application lifecycle projects, from replacing legacy systems to implementing new software solutions.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of designated applications and drive their continuous improvement and evolution.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective IT solutions with a strong focus on business value.
  • Ensure successful delivery in close collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of application governance and help shape a modern, efficient application landscape.
  • Manage external service providers and stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
  • Support budget planning, license management, and cost control activities.

What you'll need:

  • Completed education in the field of IT (university degree, technical college/HTL, or a comparable qualification).
  • Several years of experience in Application Management, IT Project Management, or a similar role with corresponding responsibility.
  • Experience managing IT service providers and external partners, as well as collaborating with business stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of business analysis, requirements engineering, and the delivery of sustainable IT solutions.
  • Good technical understanding of IT architectures, integrations, and data flows; experience with cloud-based applications is an advantage.
  • A structured and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to prioritize requirements and make sound decisions.Strong communication skills, a high degree of ownership, and the drive to actively shape and advance applications and projects.

We offer an attractive salary in line with market conditions, depending on qualifications and professional experience. The minimum gross salary under the collective agreement for full-time employment is EUR 47.547  per annum.
