TGW is an innovative company in the field of intralogistics that develops advanced software solutions to improve efficiency and automation in the logistics industry. To strengthen our team, we are looking for you as a Mathematics & Algorithm Expert (m/f/d) to drive the continuous development of our algorithm for the efficient optimization of pallets. If you have experience in software development and a deep understanding of mathematical optimization, we look forward to receiving your application. Become part of our team at our locations in Regensburg or Teunz (Germany) or Marchtrenk or Wels (Austria).

What you'll be handling:

  • You develop and implement algorithms for efficient packing and pallet optimization, taking logistical requirements into account.
  • In doing so, you analyze and optimize existing methods for calculating packing volumes and product arrangement, and apply mathematical models and optimization methods to solve complex packing problems.
  • You work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and integrate software solutions for intralogistics, thereby supporting product development.
  • Your tasks also include testing and validating algorithms and ensuring functionality in real-world applications.

What you'll need:

  • You have a degree in mathematics, computer science, or a comparable field, as well as in-depth knowledge of mathematics, particularly in the areas of optimization, combinatorics, and algorithms.
  • In addition, you have good programming skills in Java and experience in software development, as well as the ability to translate complex mathematical models into software solutions.
  • Ideally, you have experience in intralogistics or related areas of logistics automation.
  • You are characterized by a high level of quality awareness, strategic thinking, and an independent and structured way of working. Willingness to travel internationally and business fluent German and English skills round off your profile.

What you'll receive:

  • Participation in an agile development team, latitude, clear objectives and regular feedback
Working with high-quality IT equipment and the latest technologies
  • Flexible working hours and a generous home office model
  • Flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes
  • A reliable and stable employer based on the philosophy "Focusing on People – Learning and Growing"
TGW is an employer that promotes equal opportunities. We invite everybody interested in this job to apply.
